The materials used by HP Products are mainly found in the higher segment of plastics. These are materials that can be subject to high standards when it comes to chemical resistance, temperature resistance, wear, friction, adhesion, etc. A suitable material can therefore be chosen for a customer-specified application. Our specialists are happy to think along with you in order to arrive at the most efficient and sustainable solution.
Are you looking for a material that you can't find in our range? Due to a dynamic range of products, we are unable to always provide an up-to-date overview on our website. In addition to the more common materials such as PI, LEEK, PEEK, PETP, PA, PC, POM, Si, felt, velcro, velvet and various rubbers, HP Products also has an extensive range of fluoroplastics including PTFE, FEP, PFA, PCTFE and ETFE. This group of plastics plays a very important role in our range, particularly because of their remarkable properties.
- Chemical resistance
- Temperature resistance
- Sealing properties
- Friction coefficient
- Anti-adhesion
The most important material in this group of plastics is PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), also known as Teflon®, Fluon® or Hostaflon®. The other plastics in this group - PFA, FEP, PCTFE and ETFE - are modified fluoroplastics and are available in various forms. An overview of the standard dimensions is shown in Semi-finished product.
